By volunteering for the Nadeshicon Festival, you will be given a special scarf to wear to the arm to identify you. You can keep it at the end of the Festival. In addition, after completing 4 hours of volunteering, half of the amount paid for your entrance fee will be refunded. After completing 8 hours of volunteering, the full amount paid for your entrance fee will be refunded. A badge must thus be purchased in advance.
MYP (International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme) students who sign up as part of the volunteer work required by the programme will be offered the option to receive a free, temporary badge during their work hours. Volunteers who pick this option will be required to hand back their badge outside of their work hours, and as such will be unable to participate in the event. Eligible volunteers choosing this option will not receive a refund of their badge, which is free. However, upon completion of 8 hours of volunteer work, they will be offered to keep their badge permanently at no cost if they so desire, allowing them to take part in the festival.
